Amaury De Riencourt verkar huvudsakligen utgå från Spenglers historieskrivning, även om han har vissa egna idéer. Antikens Grekland är Kulturen som föregår Roms Civilisation, liksom Europa var Kulturen som föregick Amerikas Civilisation. (Jag antar att Sumer var Kulturen som föregick Babylons Civilisation.) Han har ganska stora förhoppningar på att då ännu nya NATO och FN ska kunna förena mänskligheten under USAs ledning.

 

I en av sina andra böcker ”Woman and power in History” låter han lite protofeministisk när han skriver att hemmafruar är dumheter för att kvinnor ska ut i samhället och göra nytta och han menar att de antagligen skulle bli bättre politiker än vad männen är.

Amaury De Riencourt är en ganska okänd figur som verkar ha haft ett spännande liv, skrev flera böcker som verkar intressanta och som dessutom ser bra ut på bild som ung.

Civilization emphasizes that which unites men. It is therefore a necessary, unavoidable phase of consolidation, a stage on the road to progress – so long as it is not considered as an end in itself but as a state of transition to a higher culture.”
